Fractional skin resurfacing with CO2 lasers is nothing new. It has been around for a decade or so and delivers good results. The problem has always been recovery. These fractional resurfacing treatments involved a fairly significant recovery in some early models.

Dr. Lipton now offers skin resurfacing with a new CO2 laser developed by Alma, a respected company in the aesthetic equipment-manufacturing arena. It’s called the Pixel Perfect laser. This new CO2 technology delivers the strength and results of the previous CO2 lasers, but with one-fifth the downtime.
Other improvements
In addition to less recovery time, the Pixel Perfect laser has more improvements. It is effective on light and dark skin tones. And it can be used on the face, neck, abdomen (stretch marks), and décolletage.
Dr. Lipton feels this new Pixel fractional resurfacing delivers results that are similar, but preferable, to chemical peels, erbium lasers, Yag lasers, and other new technologies.

Recovery time
